In considering the color factor, do not let it dictate the ultimate breeding of your females unless the "color choice" male also fills the females conformation requirements in every other way. An outstanding llama, even though not your favorite color, will catch your eye and hold your attention because it is a good llama in every respect.
No good llama is a bad color!
WHEN PATTERNS COLLIDE!
HS WIND'S CONFETTI
Llamas can express several distinct patterns on one animal.
"Confetti" expresses several genetic phenotypes. She is a calico, with inkspot paint patterns, appaloosa patterns, dilute merle pattern and the mottling consistant with calico patterns.
The inkspot paint pattern is most always confused for an appaloosa pattern!
